May 2, 2018 — Board Minutes
The Ipswich Outboard Club Board of Directors held a regular meeting at The St. Lawrence Literary Society, Ipswich, Ma. Commodore Wright called the meeting to order at 8:05 pm. All IOC officers and directors were present except for Liz Lombard and John Sionenin.
An annual cook-out mailing was completed.
The minutes from the previous meeting on April 3, 2018 were approved as submitted.
Secretary’s Report:
- Mailbox and email box clean.
- All 4 new members accepted and have paid. 1 more LOA has paid.
- 6 scholarship essays were received. It was determined to have the treasurer look at the budget to determine the amount the club can give away.
The secretary’s report was approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report:
- Deferred until June meeting.
Vice Commodore’s Report :
- The floats are in.
- Some boards on the catwalks will be replaced.
- Signs have been cleaned.
- The brush will be removed by the landscaper.
- The ramp will be washed by the IOC Board.
The vice commodore’s report was accepted as read.
Old Business:
- Boat US flag will be located for the flagpole.
- Laurie Cameron made a new large burgee for the flagpole and donated Ron Cameron’s American flag to be flown at the IOC.
- A discussion was held on the letter going to Kagan/Kroesser.
New Business:
- Next meeting June 5, 2018 at 7 pm at the St. Lawrence Literary Society.
- Motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 pm, seconded, and approved.
