October 10, 2017 — Board Minutes

The Ipswich Outboard Club Board of Directors held a regular meeting at The St. Lawrence Literary Society, Ipswich, Ma. Commodore Wright called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. All IOC officers and directors were present.

The minutes from the previous meeting on September 7, 2017 were approved as amended.

Secretary’s Report:

  • Mailbox and email box clean.
  • Bills rec’d will be given to the treasurer.
  • $20 was collected for guest passes.
  • Members requests have slowed down due to the end of the season.

The secretary’s report was approved as submitted.

Treasurer’s Report:

  • Checking account      $18,383.56
  • MMCH account              29,793.37
  • TOTAL                            $48,176.93
  • Dockmaster has been paid.
  • We are right on budget.

The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.

Vice Commodore’s Report :

  • Flagpole forms have been removed.
  • A power broom was done at the ramp.
  • A new light will be installed on the shed for Halloween.
  • Possible new signs for the docks?

The vice commodore’s report was accepted as read.

Old Business:

  • Large discussion took place on Ipswich Illumination. We need to put together an events committee to look at next year. Possible band and food? Liz Lombard coordinate a committee.
  • Motion to go into executive session, seconded, and approved.
  • Motion to come out of executive session, seconded, and approved.
  • A thank you was received for the antique house walk through committee for the IOC allowing parking.
  • Halloween hayrides and candy being planned. Liz Lombard to send an email.
  • Tentative float pull November 5, 2017. A directors meeting will be held at the same time.

New Business:

  • Next IOC Board meeting on November 5, 2017, at 10 am at the club property.
  • Bring all budget items to the December meeting.
  • Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 pm, seconded, and approved.
