October 4, 2018 — Board Minutes
The Ipswich Outboard Club Board of Directors held a regular meeting at The St. Lawrence Literary Society, Ipswich, Ma. Commodore Wright called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. All IOC officers and directors were present except for Perry Paone and John Sionenin.
The minutes from the previous meeting on September 18, 2018 were approved as submitted.
Secretary’s Report:
- Email and PO box are clean.
The secretary’s report was approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report:
- Slower expenses due to summer. Scholarships, mortgage, RE tax, and porta potti expenses were paid.
- Checking $24,560.75
- MMCH 29,867.94
- Total $54,428.69

Vice Commodore’s Report :
- The parking lot sign was hit hard. Repairs to come.
- A large discussion was held on the neighbor who placed a fence on IOC property and goes through the club property to access his back yard. Damage has been done to the clubs grass. The board will speak with the neighbor.
- Float haul- November 4th at 9am. Lunch may be served afterwards.
The vice commodore’s report was accepted as read.
Old Business:
- Dog feces has decreased at the top of the property but increased by the Hovey monument.
- Ipswich Illumination will be October 20, 2018. IOC will not be involved because the event is being held close to town.
- Leave of absence discussion was held. Deferred until the annual meeting.
New Business:
- Bob Murrin will give the IOC a quote on new gangways and catwalks.
- The board is interested in giving a “state of the union” at the annual cook-out.
- Next meeting November 4, 2018 at 7 pm at the St. Lawrence Club.
- Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 pm, seconded, and approved.
